Cree Language Teacher Professional Development Opportunity with facilitator: Dr. Kevin Lewis & hosted by SILAC

Treaty Education Alliance is proud to promote the following Professional Development opportunity being hosted by the Saskatchewan Indigenous Languages Advisory Committee (SILAC):

Cree Language Teacher Professional Development Sessions

Facilitator:  Dr. Kevin Lewis

Who should attend? Anyone teaching the Cree language OR who wants to learn how to better support Cree language teaching and learning.  This is an excellent opportunity to network with Cree language teachers, Cree language resource developers and land-based cultural/language coordinators.

What will you learn about? Cree language teaching methods, resources, and materials

When:  Online using a secure Zoom link. Wednesday, November 16 & Thursday, November 17 at 7 pm – 9 pm (SK time)

Register:  No cost to attend. All participants must complete the Google registration form online –  https://forms.gle/aSZ7nJag7cwYEiab9

If you need help to register, please contact Charlotte Ross at charlotteross2010@yahoo.ca or call 306-281-9462. Registration is limited to the first 80 people who register.

We will be offering these sessions monthly for 2022 with different facilitators who are language speakers, land-based cultural teachers and/or language resource developers.
